Let 'er buck: PBR coming to Jackson this summer Buckrail - Jackson Hole, news
Get ready fans! PBR is headed to Jackson for one night only.

JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Jackson has never seen anything like this. Mark July 17 down on your calendar and get ready to “Unleash the Beast” as the inaugural Jackson Hole Professional Bull Riders Pro Touring event is coming to the Teton County Fairgrounds.

One ton of hoppin’ hamburger can be a lot to deal with…even if only for eight seconds.

Outlaw Partners, LLC and Freestone Productions have partnered to produce the one-night-only, Touring Pro Division bull riding event in Jackson as part of the PBR Unleash the Beast Premier series. This is the same tour that makes stops in New York City, Las Vegas, and award-winning regional PBR events like those in Big Sky and Livingston, Montana.

These are the same bulls, the same bull riders, fans love to watch on TV and see buck live at places like Madison Square Garden. The difference is spectators will be up close and personal at the county fairgrounds this July. The intimate arena setting will put fans right on top of the action. You’ll feel the energy (and maybe a little dirt shower) as these one-ton athletes attempt to unseat the best bull riders in the world.

PBR features some of the best bull riders in the world.

“The Town of Jackson is excited about having the PBR come to the Jackson Hole Rodeo Grounds this summer,” said Bob McLaurin, Jackson’s town manager. “We are also looking forward to the partnerships that the PBR is creating with some of our local nonprofits. This is one of those truly special events that cultivates the character of our community.”

Outlaw Partners reported a similar event last year in Big Sky pumped more than $2M into the local economy. This event will benefit the Jackson Hole Historical Society.

“The Historical Society and Museum is honored to collaborate with the organizers of the inaugural Jackson Hole PBR event,” added Morgan Albertson Jaouen, executive director of JHHSM. “Finding creative sources of funding ensures that we will continue sharing our rough and tumble heritage, connecting people to place.”

PBR event will include plenty for the kids like the popular mutton bustin’.

The Jackson Hole PBR will include a vendor village featuring retail booths, food and drinks, as well as comic relief by a PBR entertainer. The event is kid-friendly for sure. Mutton bustin’ for kids age 6 and under will be included. Also watch for bulls from PBR’s Stock Contractor of the Year, Chad Berger. And the fun doesn’t stop when the bucking is over. Event organizers are planning an after party with location and details to come.

Tickets go on sale May 1. Prices range from $58 for general admission to $265 for a VIP Golden Buckle ticket, which includes access to a hospitality tent with food and drinks, and a meet-and-greet with riders. A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the Jackson Hole Historical Society & Museum. Tickets will be available online only at jacksonholepbr.com.
