JACKSON, WY - Central Wyoming College is well known for its high-quality culinary classes and nursing programs. Did you know CWC also offers dual and concurrent enrollment programs for high school students? These programs allow students to experience college-level classes while also helping them get a head start on core classes, build self-confidence, and lower the cost of post-secondary education.\r\n"I recently met a Jackson Hole High School graduate who will be attending the University of Wyoming in the fall, with plans to major in Computer Science and Graphic Design. Because she participated in the CWC Dual\/Concurrent Program, she has already completed her UW English, Math and several other General Education requirements and is excited to jump right into courses in her major." Shan Kingston\r\nConcurrent enrollment classes are taught by high school faculty and count for both high school and college credit. Dual enrollment courses are college classes taken directly from CWC. These classes are graded according to college-level standards and must be approved by the high school principal. The classes offered at Jackson Hole High School are extensive, covering topics from hospitality management to college English. More than 325 students took advantage of this opportunity in Teton County last year!\r\n\r\nTo enroll in dual or concurrent enrollment classes, contact your high school counselor or call 307-855-2083.\r\n\r\nWith Old Bill's Fun Run right around the corner, it is a great time to support CWC to keep programs like this going. These programs help students work toward the careers of their dreams!
