JACKSON, Wyo. — Talented actors alert! The Jackson Hole High School (JHHS) Thespian Troupe won first place at the Wyoming State Thespian Festival that was held from Dec. 4 to 6 on the University of Wyoming campus in Laramie.

As winners, the team will represent Wyoming at the International Thespian Festival at Indiana University Bloomington this June.

The troupe will perform an encore of the winning act, “I Don’t Want to Talk About It,” in the JHHS Theater on Wednesday, Dec. 17, at 7 p.m. Student actors are Wylie Brittingham, Sam Stites, Kade Mallen, Jack Tobiason, Hugh Reed, Rowan Logan, Vivienne Mattheis, Annabelle Dombroski, Rose Repinski, Joy-Hayashida Ludington, Madison Earl, Lyllyke Martinek, Sophia Reimer, Phoebe Werner, Olivia Chambers and Drew Mcpeak.

“Our students have reignited something truly special in the JHHS theater program,” Director and Coach Kathryn Chapin said in a statement. “It appears to be the first time in nearly a decade that we’ve taken a one-act to the Wyoming State Thespian Festival, and the first time being selected to represent Wyoming on the international stage! Watching them step into this moment has been extraordinary. It genuinely feels like we are entering a new golden era of theater at Teton County School District.”
