JACKSON, Wyo. — Rafter J residents are dealing with a water outage caused by a main transmission line leak.

Teton County Emergency Management issued an advisory Sunday afternoon, noting that there was no water service in Rafter J Ranch or areas served by the Rafter J water system. A portable water truck was stationed in the office lot, and repairs were underway by 2 p.m.

“Expect a boil water order when service has been restored,” the advisory stated.

An update on the Rafter J website posted Sunday evening noted that crews were working on identifying the extent of the leak and sourcing parts, expecting that the earliest restoration of water would happen around 3 p.m. on Monday, June 8.

“Thank you for your understanding while teams work as quickly as possible to repair the line and restore water pressure,” the Rafter J update stated.
