JACKSON, Wyo. — School is carrying on as usual at Summit Innovations School (SIS) Wednesday morning after a bomb threat received late Tuesday night was deemed a hoax.
Charlotte Reynolds, executive director of communications and district services at Teton County School District No. 1, called Buckrail Wednesday morning to share the news. She explained that the call came in around 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday night, and that the Teton County Sheriff’s Office performed a sweep of the campus Wednesday morning and found no cause for concern.
“We take all threats seriously,” Reynolds said.
In an email to SIS parents, Reynolds noted that the call was linked to “a state-wide hoax bomb threat directed at Wyoming schools,” and that “no other TCSD school received the same call.” Increased law enforcement presence will be visible on campus as the investigation continues. Students are encouraged to seek the school counselors if they need support.
This is a developing story. Buckrail will provide updates if information becomes available.
