JACKSON, Wyo. — With just over a week remaining to fulfill 70 open wish lists as a part of their annual Holiday Gift Drive, One22 Resource Center is making a last call for community support of this crucial program. Help spread joy this holiday season by sponsoring a wish list today.
About the Holiday Gift Drive
The Holiday Gift Drive program pairs gift-givers with individuals and families who need assistance purchasing holiday gifts. With support from nonprofit partners, One22 collects holiday wish lists from local households in need, and donors purchase items from the wish lists. This year’s Holiday Gift Drive will serve over 400 individuals through nearly 200 total wish lists.
How does the Holiday Gift Drive work?
Visit One22’s Holiday Gift Drive Roonga website to view wish lists of the families and individuals who are participating. Donors can select a family based on how much they would like to spend; One22 suggests spending $100-$200 per person. The wish lists include details such as age, gender, sizes and color preferences. Donors will drop off gifts from December 12 to 15 at One22’s future office at 180 S Willow Street.
I don’t have time to shop. Can I help in another way?
Yes! One22 always welcomes monetary donations of any size to help offset the costs of administering the drive and to fill in the gaps of any unsponsored wish lists. To make a donation to support One22’s work, visit their online Holiday donation page to make a gift.
The Holiday Gift Drive is a true community effort. One22 collaborates with the Santa Claus Fund to ensure that families in the community have access to assistance with holiday gifts. The Santa Claus Fund provides gifts for children in Teton County, Wyoming. The Holiday Gift Drive provides gifts for children, adults and seniors, including children who may have missed the deadline to apply for The Santa Claus Fund.
One22 coordinates wish lists from local nonprofits including Community Entry Services, Community Safety Network, Climb Wyoming, Red Top Meadows (Teton Youth and Family Services), Senior Center of Jackson Hole and others.
Additional hosts of the Holiday Gift Drive include Bank of Jackson Hole, St. John’s Episcopal Church, the Presbyterian Church of Jackson Hole, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and Our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Church.
