JACKSON, Wyo. —Teton County Fair festivities have begun and the Town will close Snow King Avenue between Flat Creek Drive and Millward Street from Wednesday, July 27 through Sunday, July 31 in an effort to keep fairgoers safe.

This portion of Snow King Avenue will remain open for bicyclists throughout the Fair. Individuals residing along this portion of Snow King Avenue will be able to access their homes throughout the event. Town and county vehicles accessing the Public Works yard will also be allowed access during this time.

In addition to the Snow King Avenue closure, please note that Flat Creek Drive between Karns Avenue and Snow King Avenue will also be closed on Saturday, July 30 between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m.

Motorists are encouraged to allow additional time if traveling in this portion of town and to expect some detours. Individuals attending the Fair are encouraged to walk, bike and take the bus to the Fairgrounds.

All motorists are encouraged to utilize additional caution during this time as it is anticipated that there will be an increased amount of foot and bicycle activity this week near the Fairgrounds.  Individuals walking or biking are asked to obey all rules of the road and utilize crosswalks.  If traveling at night, pedestrians should consider bringing a flashlight and wearing reflective clothing in an effort to be more visible to motorists.
