JACKSON, Wyo. — Every summer, the People’s Market returns and residents don their tote bags, hop on their bikes, and wander the Center for the Arts lawn on South Cache Street. Yesterday, the market began for the 2026 season and will happen every Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. through September 23.

Fresh produce, tamales, sloshies and trinkets abound. Food trucks assembled on the south side of the lawn.

The market buzzed with energy despite gray skies, which cleared up as the market wore on. The scene was rife with families, friends, laughter and a steady stream of visitors weaving between vendor booths and munching on tamales.

The growing season — and summer season — often feels short in Wyoming, and Jacksonites certainly know how to squeeze the juice out of every last second.
