JACKSON, Wyo. — Bicycles everywhere. That was the scene on Wednesday, June 18, at the first People’s Market of the season on the lawn at the Center for the Arts.


With gorgeous weather and the promise of a cold sloshie, the community showed up in droves to the mid-week, afternoon event. Buckrail photographer Nick Sulzer popped by to capture the scene.
The People’s Market is a weekly event, put on by Slow Food in the Tetons, that hosts farmers, ranchers, food producers, artisans and other vendors. There is a huge variety of goods offered at the market this season, including produce, meat, cheese, bread, prepared food, beverages, plant starts, vintage clothing and art. The market will run every Wednesday afternoon from 4 to 7 p.m. until September 24.
The People’s Market is a a zero-waste market — so be sure to bring a reusable cup and a shopping bag. Market patrons are encouraged to walk, bike or ride the START Bus. Dogs must be kept on a leash and are not permitted inside market booths.
