JACKSON, Wyo. — As a part of Old West Days, the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar hosted the sixth-annual Million Dollar Music Fest, bringing out local and visiting music enthusiasts to Town Square on Sunday, May 25.

Town Square was filled to the brim with people attending the outdoor, free country music event. Buckrail’s photographer Nick Sulzer was also there tapping his foot during the festival.

The stage, located on the east side of the square, overlooked a sea of cowboy and cowgirl hats that shook to the live country beats. People who perched higher up on store front decks had VIP views of the concert.

Award-winning Tenille Townes kicked off the show, bringing a “gritty, soulful sound that blends the energy of Janis Joplin with the storytelling of Miranda Lambert,” the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar wrote on its website. Multi-platinum recording artist John Michael Montgomery brought the sound of golden era ’90s country. Montgomery made his Jackson Hole debut as part of his “Road to Home Farewell Tour.”

The multi-platinum, GRAMMY-nominated trio Midland, who returned to Jackson after three years, headlined the event. Midland is known for its blend of honkytonk and modern country, according to the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar.
