TETON VILLAGE, Wyo. — The anticipation was high at the base area of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort this past Saturday as visitors and locals alike gathered to watch Santa drop from the Tram ahead of his busy Christmas Eve delivery schedule.

The ice skating rink and snow castles were buzzing with excitement but by 4:20 p.m. a large crowd had gathered in front of the tram dock. Children sat on their parent’s shoulders, yelling “Santa!” as Big Red inched its way from the top of Rendevous Mountain.

Just after 4:30, the Tram came to a halt and Santa dropped out of the door to the crowd’s cheers.

Back this year for the first time since 2019, the children were able to line up to get a chance to sit on Santa’s lap and get their last gift requests in before Christmas.
