JACKSON, Wyo. — On Friday, Jan. 10, Teton County, Jackson Hole Fire/EMS and Teton County Emergency Management officially welcomed Brian Coe as the fire department’s new Assistant Chief of Operations.

With the shiny, red fire trucks as a backdrop, the induction ceremony took place at Jackson Hole Fire/EMS Station #1. Surrounded by family, friends, Fire/EMS personnel, elected officials, community partners and members of the public, Coe was sworn-in by JH Fire/EMS Chief Mike Moyer.

After Coe lifted up his right hand to repeat the oath of office, his wife Laura and two daughters helped him to pin his new badge and four bugles onto his uniform, according to the Jackson Hole News&Guide.

At one point, Coe lifted up one of his daughters as the room and line of Teton County and Jackson officers applauded him for his service.

“Congrats Deputy Chief Coe!” JH Fire/EMS said via Facebook on Friday.

Coe was promoted from his former rank of Battalion Chief, and has served as the Interim Assistant Fire Chief since March 2024.
