JACKSON, Wyo. — Teton County Health Department opened up a new vaccine clinic at the old location of Kmart, prior to the space going through a full renovation for a new Target location.
Today, the Health Department hopes to vaccinate 1,000 people at the Target location, following three days of vaccination 650 people per day, a significant increase from the 1,500 appointments the Health Department has been able to schedule per week.
Albertson’s and Smith’s recently announced their own COVID-19 vaccination clinics, open to individuals in subgroup 1c. Community members who choose to be vaccinated through one of the pharmacies are being asked to email the Health Department to remove their names from the vaccine list, opening up more spaces for others seeking vaccine appointments.
As of March 25, 10,417 first doses of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccines have been administered to the community, 5, 156 second-doses have been given. A short supply of the Johnson & Johnson single-dose vaccines have been received by the county, 198 Janssen doses have been given.
