Silver Dollar & Cowboy Bar revamp summer music schedules Buckrail - Jackson Hole, news

JACKSON HOLE, WYO – With Silver Dollar, Inc.’s acquisition of the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar, a few changes to the venue’s respective music schedules will fall into place for the summer season. Cutting a rug at either venue, or sometimes both venues, will be an option most evenings.

The Silver Dollar Showroom will add the Whiskey Wednesday Summer Series with an acoustic vibe during the happy hour time slot, 5-8 p.m. The weekly series will run June 20 through September 12. A few of the confirmed acts include Grammy-winning bottleneck blues super-picker Mike Dowling, one-man band Milo Matthews as well as local acts Lauren Conrad & Patrick Chadwick and Aaron Davis & the Mystery Machine.

According to talent buyer Justin Smith, Local Sundays at the Silver Dollar Showroom will scale back from being a weekly event to solely featuring the Jazz Foundation of JH Big Band on the last Sunday of each month (7 p.m. – 10 p.m.). Bluegrass Tuesdays with One Ton Pig and a rotation of dance bands on Thursdays through Saturdays will continue.

Around the corner at the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar, live music will roll out Tuesdays through Sundays during the summer months. New to the lineup is Honkytonk Tuesdays with rotating acts (9 p.m. – 1 a.m.), Western Wednesdays featuring The Miller Sisters along with Smith as Bootleg Flyer (8:30 p.m. – 12:30 a.m.), and Thursdays through Saturday (9 p.m. – 1:30 a.m.) representing a rotation of outlaw country and rock that the bar is known for. Sundays will introduce deejays Crazy Tom and Steady Jake spinning upbeat country (8:30 p.m. – 12:30 a.m.).
