JACKSON, Wyo. — Nearly four weeks after local gigs came to a halt last month, “Live Streaming Sessions” will debut from the Silver Dollar Bar and Grill’s Facebook page on Tuesday, April 14. Every (Bluegrass) Tuesday and Friday at 7:30 p.m., at least for the next couple of weeks, the iconic downtown watering hole will broadcast a local musician performing from his or her respective home for a thirty-minute set.

One Ton Pig guitarist/vocalist Justin Smith—also the talent buyer at the Silver Dollar and Cowboy Bar—will kick-off the series with a solo set. Smith released a solo album, Sprinklers in the Rain, in 2016, though he plans to concentrate material towards One Ton Pig staples. A virtual tip jar will be listed during each stream so fans have the option to support the featured artist via PayPal or Venmo. Jackson Hole Radio will help promote the series by airing music from the scheduled artists prior their streaming shows on 96.9 FM/KMTN.

“I can’t wait to setup and rock,” Smith said in a press release. “I’m missing our weekly Bluegrass Tuesdays at the Silver Dollar Bar very much and this streaming platform is just a little way that we musicians can stay connected and performing.”

Jim Waldrop, president of Silver Dollar Inc., wanted to offer these live streaming sessions in order to help keep both the musicians and music lovers engaged.

“During these unprecedented times perhaps the thing we miss most is gathering with friends to enjoy some great live music,” Waldrop said. “The Live Streaming Sessions will connect the artist and the fans, keeping them both looking forward to the day when they can once again gather and celebrate”.

Other streaming acts include Tasha Ghozali and Rob Sidle (April 17), singer-songwriter Michael Batdorf (April 21), Greg Creamer (April 24), Mike and Kate Swanson from Coyote Queen (April 28), and a Cowboy Bar session with Cal & Teddy Linford of The Linfords (May 1). Worthotel.com will be updated with a complete list of performances.
