JACKSON, Wyo. — Come see Energy Conservation Works at the People’s Market this Wednesday from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.!

Sign up for your free energy efficiency kit at the Energy Conservation Works (ECW) booth, and be entered into a raffle for a $50 Lower Valley Energy credit on your utility bill! If you can’t make it this week, come see us on there on Aug. 25, or signup online. However you sign up, do so by the Sept. 1 deadline.

What’s the catch? There isn’t one! Through Lower Valley’s partnership with our electricity provider, Bonneville Power Administration (BPA), these kits are made free to you with energy conservation funding aimed to conserve energy, reduce your energy bill, and increase the comfort in your home. We want to thank Lower Valley Energy’s continued commitment to energy conservation and efficiency programs like the Energy Efficiency Kits that help each of us save energy. We also want to thank and recognize Teton Conservation District’s commitment to supporting these kits reaching residents.

Last year ECW sent out 4,263 kits to Lower Valley Energy members – help us reach 5,000! If we reach our goal, this would mean our community could save up to 1.9 MILLION kWh of energy this year – equivalent to the annual energy use of 104 average Jackson homes.

Each kit is estimated to save 375.1 kWh per year and contains seven different energy-saving appliances designed to save you money and power.

Here’s what winners will receive:

  • (8) A-lamps – general purpose lightbulbs – 11W (75W equivalent)
  • (2) A-lamps – general purpose lightbulbs – 15W (100W equivalent)
  • (4) Reflectors – for flood lights or recessed fixtures – 8W (65W equivalent)
  • (1) Advanced Power Strip
  • (1) 1.5 GPM Showerhead
  • You’ll also receive a BONUS night light & outlet covers! (Not pictured).

If you are unable to join us at the market, please click here to sign up. The offer is good for one kit per LVE residential account.  All kits are being shipped USPS, and are not available for pick up. Please remember to register with your home address and then add an alternate shipping address (your P.O. Box) to avoid issues receiving your kit.

After you sign up for your Energy Efficiency Kit at the People’s Market this Wednesday, be sure to also check out our solar-powered trailer, supplying the power for sloshies from Jackson Hole Still Works! We’re excited to bring out the trailer for the first time in 2021! This trailer has been in use for events since 2012 and had helped power EcoFair, the People’s market, Pierre‘s whole mountain bike race, and the Teton Valley balloon rally.

If you are unable to attend this Wednesday’s market, we will also be at the August 25th People’s Market to continue to sign you up for your Energy Efficiency Kits and answer any energy questions you may have!

ECW’s mission is to provide leadership, engagement, and implementation, specific to energy conservation, energy efficiency, renewable energy, and reductions in emissions.
