Sheriff’s Office needs help locating missing man

JACKSON HOLE, WYO –

UPDATE (7:30pm, July 12): Teton County Sheriff’s Office reports Sam Collins has been found. Buckrail is still attempting to learn more about what happened. TCSO thanks the public for their help in the case.

Teton County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information and assistance in locating an overdue person considered missing at this point.

On Tuesday, July 10, a Teton County resident reported her husband was overdue from a motorcycle tour. Sam Collins left Jackson on Monday, July 9 at 11am. He was due back later that same day. He traveled to the area of Bear Lake, Idaho. He was last seen on video traveling northbound on Highway 89 near Montpelier, Idaho around 3:15pm on Monday. There has been no contact since.

Mr. Collins is a 63-year-old white male. He was wearing black, white, and silver riding gear with a fullface black helmet. He is riding an orange and black KTM Super Duke GT motorcycle.

Bear Lake County, Idaho Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation. Teton County Sheriff’s Department investigators are assisting.
