JACKSON, Wyo. — The Teton County Health Department will suspend operations at its seasonal offsite vaccine clinic on Thursday, Dec. 21.
This is the final week for residents to get a flu and/or COVID-19 vaccine at the clinic, which is located in the Target Plaza next to Subway. The department recommends both flu and COVID vaccines for everyone over the age of 6 months, “because these vaccines reduce serious illness, hospitalization and death.” High-dose flu vaccines are still available for those ages 65 and over.
The clinic will be open for appointments and walk-ins from Tuesday, Dec. 19, through Thursday, Dec. 21, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday is designated for children ages 6 months to 11 years old. Appointments are available through www.tetoncountywy.gov.covidvax.
The department says it will offer more vaccine clinics through the winter.
“Since we are in the middle of Flu, RSV, COVID-19 and other respiratory virus season, Teton County Health Department would like to remind everyone to:
- Cover your cough and sneeze: sneeze and cough into your elbow to limit the spread of disease.
- Wash your hands frequently with warm, soapy water.
- Stay home when you are ill to help stop the spread of disease.
- Report signs and symptoms of illnesses that do not go away within three to five days to your healthcare provider.”
