JACKSON, Wyo. — The seasonal dog park at the Fairgrounds is set to be removed Friday, April 28, according to a press release from the Teton County/Jackson Parks & Recreation Department (TCJPRD).

The last day for public use will be on Thursday, April 27.

“TCJPRD would like to remind the community that per Town Ordinance 7.05, pets must always be under leash or verbal control within the Town of Jackson. Dogs are not allowed in any Town Parks and are only allowed on pathways when physically leashed,” states the press release.

Jackson is on the way to getting its first permanent dog park after the Jackson Town Council approved a permanent off-leash dog park in Miller Park in January. The 0.15-acre park will exist in the southern half of the park on the west side along Jackson Street.
