JACKSON, Wyo. — Teton County School District (TCSD) #1 Board of Trustees named Dr. Scott Crisp as the new assistant superintendent effective, July 1. The Board voted on the appointment on March 8.

Crisp has been the principal at Jackson Hole High School (JHHS) since 2009. Prior to becoming principal, Crisp worked as a high school social studies teacher for 10 years.

Crisp fills the vacancy left with the departure of Dr. AJ Swentosky.

According to TCSD #1, Crisp will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the educational components of the school district and will also be working directly with all district principals. Efforts will start soon to find his replacement at JHHS.

In 2021, Crisp was named Wyoming High School Principal of the Year. JHHS was ranked the number one high school in Wyoming by US News in 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2021.

Crisp was recently appointed by Governor Gordon to serve on the Wyoming State Board of Education for a six-year term.
