JACKSON, Wyo. — Calling all river enthusiasts and river guides past, present and future!
Join the Jackson Hole Historical Society & Museum as we host guest panelists including include Brad Geist, Grand Teton National Park River Patrol Ranger; Wayne Johnson, River Guide for Grand Teton Lodge Company, B-E River Trips, and Salmon River; and more river guides and stewards.
This special Beers & Banter will be moderated by Yolonda Youngs, Associate Professor of Environmental Studies and Geography, California State University San Bernardino who has researched commercial, scenic float trips on the Upper Snake River and is writing a book on the topic. Youngs has also collaborated with local community members and Grand Teton National Park Curator Bridgette Guild to create a Recreation Collection for the park.
The free event takes place Thursday, July 20 at 7 pm at the Jackson Hole Historical Society & Museum located at 225 N Cache St. In Jackson.
While at the Museum, visitors can also view the summer exhibit “Floating Through History: Uncovering Stories Behind Scenic Rafting on the Upper Snake River.” Beverages available for suggested donation; doors open at 6:30 pm.
