JACKSON, Wyo. — Teton County Search and Rescue never knows when the next call is coming…or where from.
After a morning session of physical and medical training on Saturday, TCSAR got a page out to assist two women who had fallen from horses at the end of Flat Creek Road. One patient had a suspected broken clavicle, the other a presumed lower leg fracture.
A TCSAR team responded with two side-by-side UTVs. It took just under an hour for the first team to arrive on the scene after driving up the very bumpy, rugged road. The medical team treated the two patients and packaged them for transport in the UTVs back down the road to a waiting ambulance.
The teams then returned to the hangar, completing the mission in just over four hours and wrapping up a long day for volunteers.
