JACKSON, Wyo. — PAWS of Jackson Hole is offering a $5,500 reward for information leading to the arrest/prosecution of the person responsible for the ibuprofen-laced hot dogs scattered throughout May Park yesterday, Feb. 25.

Ibuprofen causes kidney failure in dogs. Symptoms include vomiting, increased or decreased drinking and urination, dark tarry stools, yellow discoloration of the skin and mucous membranes, agitation, tremors, seizures, and coma.

Yesterday, two dogs reportedly ate 1-inch pieces of hot dogs laced with ibuprofen and covered in birdseed.

According to PAWS, the reward money was collected through concerned citizens and generous donors.

The incident was isolated in May Park.

JPD is asking for the community to assist in the investigation and report suspicious activity in May Park from dusk Feb. 24 to dawn, Feb. 25. Residents in the vicinity of the park with doorbell cameras are being asked to share the footage with detectives. Call JPD dispatch, 307-733-2331 to make a report.
