JACKSON, Wyo. — Hooray!
Teton County/Jackson Parks and Recreation announced that the Recreation Center’s lap pool is on track to open to the public by the end of the week.
The pool has been closed for repairs since late April, when problems with the pool’s pump were detected and new parts had to be ordered. Parks and Rec shared that contractors installed new pump components on Tuesday, June 3, which have been successfully recirculating water.
Once the pool’s chemicals are rebalanced and the operating water temperature is reached, the pool can welcome swimmers again. Parks and Rec anticipates opening the lap pool to the public when the Rec Center opens at 6 a.m. on Friday, June 6.
“Teton County/Jackson Parks and Recreation staff appreciate the community’s patience during the lap pool closure and look forward to the pool’s reopening on Friday,” Teton County said via press release.
In addition, the outdoor splash pad will open on Friday and will remain open until early September, weather permitting.
