JACKSON, Wyo. — Roads around the county are about to get spruced up for summertime traffic.
Crews from the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) and S& L Industrial will begin installing thermoplastic markings along roads tonight. For the next two weeks, expect to see crews out between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. adding these markings to sections of US26/89/189/191, Broadway Ave., WY22 and Hoback Junction. Crews will be working in intersections on Broadway from High School Road up through downtown.
“The project includes installing markings such as stop bars, pedestrian crosswalk markings, arrows and other intersection markings,” WYDOT’s announcement states. “WYDOT and contract crews will be striping lane lines and center lines on state highways in Teton County later this summer.”
WYDOT noted in its project announcement that travelers should see minimal delays including lane closures and potential detours. The project timeline could be affected by unpredictable weather.
