JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Here are some recent calls for service in Teton County/Jackson from the dispatch log. Names may be withheld at the request of law enforcement. All persons cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filing from the Teton County Attorney’s Office.

April 28, 2:27 am – Suspicious circumstances
A subject reported possible information about prostitution. No arrests related to the information have been made.

April 28, 10:52 am – Fraud
A subject reported an online acquaintance had deposited several checks into her account after requesting her banking information. After the checks were deposited, the suspect requested the victim keep a portion of the money and send the rest back to him in the form of ITUNES gift cards. After sending the cards, the victim learned from her bank that the deposits were fraudulent. The total loss to the victim is $1,000.00. Residents are reminded to never share any personal or banking information with anyone who contacts them over the phone or the internet.

April 28, 2:24 pm – Recover stolen property
Officers received a call of an ATV that had been abandoned behind a business for several months. Officers located the ATV and determined it had been reported stolen from another business on 12/01/16. The business that owns the ATV was contacted and it was returned to them.

April 28, 5:36 pm – Sexual Assault
A subject reported that approximately a month earlier she had been become intoxicated and passed out. Since then, friends have told her that a they witnessed a male subject drag her into a bathroom. She has no recollection of the incident and does not know if she was assaulted in any way. Recently, the male subject has started texting her, which has caused her to be alarmed. Follow-up to contact the male is ongoing.

April 29, 12:18 am – Public Intoxication
An officer observed a subject staggering in the middle of the roadway and made contact with him. The subject refused to tell officers where he lived. Officers offered numerous times to call a taxi for the subject but he refused the offer insisting he was walking home. Officers determined the subject was intoxicated to the degree that he was a danger to himself, and that he was physically and mentally impaired to the point he was unable to recognize obvious dangers. As a result, Louis F. Erickson, 30, of Jackson was charged with public intoxication.

April 29, 12:15 pm – Runaway
Officers were notified of a juvenile who had run away from a group home. Approximately four hours later the juvenile was located at the residence of a friend.

April 30, 12:03 am – Assault
An officer received a report of an altercation between two elderly patients in a nursing facility. No injuries were reported, but the facility is required by law to report such incidents.

April 30, 2:51 am – Public Intoxication
An officer found a subject lying unconscious on the sidewalk in a residential neighborhood. When the officer contacted the subject it was determined his condition was the result of being highly intoxicated. When the subject awoke it was determined he could not stand without assistance and he insisted he was in a north Jackson neighborhood approximately a mile away. It was clear that the subject was intoxicated and disoriented to the degree that he was a danger to himself. As a result, Zachary Starkey Zimmerman, 33, of Jackson was charged with public intoxication.

April 30, 6:53 am – Sexual Assault
Officers received a report of a possible sexual assault in which a consensual encounter was reported to have turned non-consensual. All parties have been contacted and follow-up continues.

April 30, 12:00 pm – Death
A 59-year-old male was found deceased in his residence. The death has been determined to be the result of natural causes.

April 30, 1:38 am – Public intox
Officers were dispatched to a business in which it was reported an intoxicated subject entered and attempted to purchase alcohol. Due to his extreme level of intoxication, the clerk refused to sell more alcohol to the subject. This angered the subject who began yelling inside the business and causing a disturbance. When contacted outside the business, the subject was found to be highly intoxicated and unable to care for himself. As a result, Jeremiah Sinarski, 41, transient, was charged with public intoxication.

May 2, 11:43 am – Drug offense
A subject reported finding a small amount of marijuana in a baggie in a parking lot open to the public. The marijuana was taken for destruction.

May 2, 5:42 am – Runaway
Officers were notified of a juvenile who had run away from a group home. Approximately five hours later the juvenile was located at a residence in the county.

May 2, 6:34 pm – Public Intoxication
Officers were dispatched to a report of an intoxicated subject stumbling on a downtown sidewalk. Officers contacted the subject and found he had slurred speech, relaxed facial muscles, glassy eyes, a relaxed posture and he was unsteady on his feet. The wind was blowing at the officers back and into the subject’s face and despite this they could still smell the very strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from him. The subject either would not or could not answer questions he was asked. Officers also noted the subject had drool/slobber on his beard. Based on this information, officers felt the subject was too intoxicated to care for himself and as a result, Jeremiah Sinarski, 41, transient, was charged with public intoxication.
