JACKSON, Wyo. — People’s Market attendees on Wednesday evening got a bonus wildlife encounter.

At approximately 6:25 p.m., folks at the weekly summer farmer’s market started noticing that a bull moose was wandering behind tents on the west wide of the Center for the Arts lawn (near the Jackson Hole Still Works and Snake River Brewing tents). The moose took a left turn down the alleyway lining the south end of the lawn and crossed Cache St., heading east.

The young-looking bull also made a brief cameo at the Art Association of Jackson Hole’s event being held on the other side of the Center complex.

Remember that moose, photogenic as they may be, can react when startled by humans who get close. Be sure to allow a minimum of 25 yards of space between humans and wildlife.
