JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. – Here are some recent calls for service in Teton County/Jackson from the dispatch log. Names may be withheld at the request of law enforcement. All persons cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filing from the Teton County Attorney’s Office.

Comments: Officer dispatched for the report of a bike theft. Bike was not secure by way of lock, nor did owner have the serial number. Report taken.

Comments: Hit and Run crash. Fresh damage to rental vehicle discovered after it had been parked and unoccupied about one hour in the Albertson’s parking lot.

Comments: An unknown vehicle hit an unoccupied van that was parked on a Town of Jackson street. The driver of the unknown vehicle failed to leave a note giving the van’s owner their information before leaving the scene of the collision. Unknown vehicle may be the same vehicle involved in another collision hit and run over the weekend.

Comments: Female called to report her vehicle had been broken into. The incident is currently under investigation.

Comments: Intoxicated subject left a local restaurant without paying the bill. The subject was arrested for Public Intoxication and cited for Defrauding an Innkeeper. Case closed by arrest.

Comments: Officers called on a report of a possible overdose. It was found the subject was mentally ill and not experiencing an overdose. Subject was transported to the hospital for evaluation.

•PUBLIC INTOX – PUBLIC INTOXICATION
Comments: An intoxicated male’s strange behavior was reported by multiple callers. Officers found him walking in the middle of the street wearing a short sleeved t-shirt and mesh shorts in 40 degree weather. The male displayed behavior indicative of being under the influence of an illicit drug and was unable to care for his own safety so he was arrested for public intoxication.

Comments: A visitor forgot to remove empty pistol magazines from his bag at the airport and surrendered them to the TSA staff.

Comments: While responding to another call for service, illegal narcotics were discovered in the possession of a subject. The narcotics were taken from the location. Charges pending.

Comments: A call from a liquor store about shoplifting expensive wine led to a search warrant, recovery of some of the stolen items, and an arrest warrant affidavit being written. Suspect refused to come in for an interview. Case active.

Comments: 2 Makita drills and 4 Stanley tool sets went missing from an apartment closet. No suspects no witnesses. Approximately worth up to $1,000.

Comments: A check sent from one business to another in Teton County was then duplicated and twice attempted to be deposited via electronic means in unknown locations. Case active.

Comments: Officer’s responded to a Trespassing incident, at a local bar, in which a male subject was becoming aggressive. The subject was located and arrested for public intoxication.

Comments: Officers responded to multiple calls of a combative subject. Officers arrived and located the subject who was heavily intoxicated. Subject was arrest for public intoxication and cited for breach of peace.

Comments: A local man trespassed into another person’s house and threatened him with a knife. The man left his vehicle on scene and fled. Man was later discovered and was detained for a mental hold.

Comments: JPD Officers assisted TCSO Deputies with a traffic stop. During the traffic stop narcotics were located and 3 arrests were made.

Comments: Dispute between two estranged brothers. A history of family disputes and hard feelings exists. A chance encounter at a local restaurant resulted in one brother saying “I will kill you!” to the other brother.

Comments: Male called to report a disturbance in which three men were pounding on his door wanting to fight. Officers responded and arrested two of the three men for breach of peace and public intoxication.

Comments: Officers were called to local bar for intoxicated female. Officers arrived and determined it was possible overdose situation; medic called. Female was transported to hospital via ambulance. Female found to be on probation. Report sent to prosecutor for probation revocation.
