DRIGGS, Idaho — Did anyone in Driggs hear the screeching of tires in the wee hours of Wednesday?
The Teton County Idaho Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) is looking for information to help identify the owner and/or driver of a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run incident that took place in front of Barrels and Bins (36 S. Main St.) around 12:20 a.m. on Sept. 23. The vehicle involved is suspected to be a white Ford pickup truck, and a white dog was riding in its bed.
“The vehicle was heard attempting what sounded like a burnout before losing control, jumping the curb, and striking/damaging a sign and light post,” TCSO posted to Facebook along with footage of the incident. “The vehicle then left the scene. The truck is expected to have damage to the driver’s side from the impact.”
TCSO is requesting that anyone who recognizes the vehicle, anyone who knows someone who drives a similar truck, or anyone with useful information to call (208) 776-8200.
“And remember: burnouts are generally best left to the professionals — and preferably somewhere that doesn’t involve curbs, light posts, or public roadways,” TCSO posted.
