•ASSAULT – AGGRAVATED ASSAULT, NONFAMILY, KNIFE/CUT INSTR
Comments: Officers were dispatched to a fight in progress involving 4 male subjects. One subject involved was arrested for Aggravated assault and battery.
JPD Lt. Roger Schultz explained further that Dannie Rivers, 55, of Sulphur, LA reportedly had a dispute with a coworker at Hole Bowl. Rivers allegedly snuck up behind his coworker while he was shooting pool and put him in a choke hold until he “choked him out,” Schultz said. Other employees pulled Rivers off his victim. Rivers them reportedly grabbed a butterknife and attempted to stab the same man. He was again restrained by bar staff until police arrived and made the arrest.

Comments: A juvenile male was intoxicated by alcohol to a degree that his parents called for medical assistance. The male was later transported to the hospital by his parents and issued a citation for minor under the influence.

Comments: Officer initiated a traffic stop and deployed K9. K9 alerted and indicated on vehicle. Vehicle searched and marijuana located. Driver cited and released.

Comments: Intoxicated male entered local bar and disturbed many patrons. The male was escorted out, but then returned with more hostility. Male was kicked out again and started to hit many car windows and attempted to enter some. Male was arrested for Public Intoxication.

Comments: Officers dispatched to a medic call for a subject who was passed out in the grass near an intersection. Officers arrived on scene and discovered male subject to be highly intoxicated. Male arrested and transported to the hospital for evaluation.

Comments: Call for suspicious activity. Persons in vehicle with windows cracked, windshield cover up, smoking cigarettes. Upon contact with subjects, female found to have warrant for her arrest. K9 on scene, male found with drugs and drug paraphernalia. Both subjects arrested for Possession of controlled substance, and female for warrant.
