JACKSON, Wyo. — The Condos at Cache + Pearl are one step closer to a building permit.
On Wednesday, the Planning Commission unanimously recommended approval of the development plan for the 18-unit short-term rental condos. The item will now be sent to the Town Council for approval.
A development plan is the final review prior to the submittal of a building permit and construction documents.
The developer, Crystal Creek Capital, made a few changes between the previously approved sketch plan and the development plan, most notably the exterior materials and the architecture of the building.

Wednesday’s vote was a matter of procedure. The commission was presented the plan on June 1 but continued the item because commissioners Abigail Petri and Thomas Smits had conflicts of interest regarding their employers and the developer. They did not cast votes on Wednesday.
Jim Walter, president of Crystal Creek Capital was present during the June 1 meeting.
“I will say our design intent is for someone to live here long-term. If they would choose to rent them on the short term they may. The way in which we created these units is consistent with long-term living,” Walter said.
The planning department did not receive any public comment on the development plan at Wednesday’s meeting or the June 1 meeting.

“I think all the changes they made to the design are positive, Commissioner Anne Schuler said. “I particularly like how they changed the roof next to the Coe cabin, I think that fits in nicely.”
