Pet of the Week: Meet Doug E. Fresh

Meet Doug E. Fresh a recent transfer from the Idaho Falls Animal Shelter to the Jackson/Teton County Animal Shelter through our Pilot Rescue Program. Doug has been in the shelter scene for well over a month and is ready to leave it behind. We’re hoping that all he needs is to be the new pup on the block to find his forever home.

Doug E. Fresh loves to snuggle in bed, and for a short-haired lean guy loves to frolic in the snow. Doug is a friend to other dogs and has a soft side for kids (he ADORES the little humans!). Life has been a bit tough for Doug over the last couple of months. He was found as a stray in Idaho Falls and has some scarring on his face. He’s the type of dog that you wish could tell you his past so you can reassure him that his future is bright. Visit or call the J/TC Shelter at (307)733-2139 for more info on Doug.

All animals brought to the J/TC Animal Shelter through the Pilot Rescue Program are fully sponsored by PAWS of Jackson Hole. PAWS funds all of their medical and transport needs, while the staff of the J/TC Animal Shelter are in charge of their everyday care and facilitate their adoptions. Since the start of this effort in July of this year, 34 animals have been rescued by this program.
