This week's Pet of the Week feature is a very special gal named Gracie. Gracie is the mom to the litter of puppies that were available for adoption a few weeks ago. Two-year-old Gracie was rescued from a very unsavory living situation. She shows signs of physical abuse and was very underweight when we first met her. She has an old hip injury that was never treated and has now healed on its own. Sometimes she limps a little from this injury, but for the most part, it doesn't slow her down one bit. Gracie has been in foster care with her original rescuers since mid-October; she needed a couple of months to first raise her puppies and then, rest, recuperate, gain weight, and decompress... now she is READY!\r\n\r\nGracie is a two-year-old hound who gets along great with other dogs \u2014 in fact, dog friends are her absolute favorite! She is friendly with people, rides well in the car, loves to snuggle in bed, and of course, is a chowhound with all things food.\r\n\r\nGracie is part of PAWS' Rescue Pilot Program with the Jackson\/Teton County Animal Shelter. Her medical needs were fully sponsored by PAWS. She is now accepting applications for her forever family through the J\/TC Shelter, 307-733-2139.
