JACKSON, Wyo. — PAWS is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year!

To commemorate this milestone, PAWS is planning a special Pet Gala on Friday, June 28 at the private residence of PAWS Board Chair Michael and Donna Coles in South Fork Ranches. The gala is the organization’s signature annual fundraiser.

Founded in 1999 by a small group of passionate animal lovers, PAWS began raising funds to ensure animals being adopted from the local shelter were spayed or neutered before leaving the facility, ensuring the prevention of unwanted litters of dogs and cats. Today, PAWS serves Teton County, Teton Valley and Star Valley.

In addition to low cost spay neuter vouchers, over the last 25-years, PAWS has added much needed social services to pets and pet owners in need with SAFEPAWS, which shelters pets of victims of domestic violence. The Mutt Mitt program removes pet waste from local trails and public spaces, and the MedFund program provides funding to local pet families facing unexpected vet bills.

With the acquisition of the shelter in 2022, local stray, abandoned and surrendered pets are given a second chance at a happy home.

Sponsorships are available now and individual tickets will go on sale May 31. So come have fun, be inspired, enjoy delicious food and drink, good music and raise a paddle for PAWS!
