JACKSON, Wyo. — As temperatures warm up and the annual thaw begins, the Teton County and Jackson Parks and Recreation Department announced that they are closing the Owen Bircher ice rink by the end of the day today, March 8.
The Fairgrounds and Powderhorn ice rinks closed on Saturday, March 6.
“Staff worked over the weekend to keep the rink open, but unfortunately the warm and sunny temperatures did not make it possible,” Teton County said in a press release. “It has been a great season and the Park’s Department appreciates the community’s active participation and utilization of the ice rinks.”
