JACKSON, Wyo. — It won’t be quite the same this New Year’s Eve, though bar-goers will have a couple of options for classic and modern country cover bands at downtown watering holes. Both the Silver Dollar and Million Dollar Cowboy Bars will shut down at 10 p.m. ahead of the New Year due to town ordinances.

Georgia native Paul Cleckler and his trio have a repertoire that spans the 1950s through the 1980s, including modern pop country, classic country, blues, reggae, and R&B. The band will play 6:30-9:30 p.m. Thursday in the Silver Dollar Showroom and there’s no cover.

Walker Williams Band returns to the Million Dollar Cowboy with a country-rock edge. Williams has opened shows for Willie Nelson, Sawyer Brown, and Merle Haggard among others. The show is 7-9:30 p.m. Thursday.

Have a safe and hopeful New Year’s Eve!
