WYOMING — A new fire was discovered yesterday, Sept. 4, in the Pinedale Ranger District.
The Beaver Creek Fire is located in Irish Canyon south of Beaver Creek. A Teton Interagency helicopter began bucket drops while ground crews hiked into the fire.
Crews have made good progress on the Beaver Creek Fire with the help of bucket drops. Additional firefighters will be arriving throughout the day to aid in the suppression effort. The fire is currently one acre in size.
The cause of the fire is still unknown at this time and remains under investigation.
