JACKSON, Wyo. — Grand Teton National Park Foundation (GTNPF) announced the appointment of new members to its board of directors and resource council. The group brings a broad spectrum of expertise in business, government, and nonprofit management to the Foundation.

“We are happy to welcome this group of talented, passionate professionals to our team,” Grand Teton National Park Foundation President Leslie Mattson said. “Their extensive backgrounds in business and nonprofit development, coupled with their love for our national park, align perfectly with the Foundation’s mission and will benefit us as we continue our important work to provide private funding for initiatives in Grand Teton.”

The board and resource council will help the Foundation fulfill its mission of protecting and enhancing Grand Teton National Park through ongoing programs in 2021 such as youth engagement, historic preservation, and wildlife protection. They will also assist in the development of new projects to further the conservation of the park’s incredible resources and improve visitor experiences.

Joining the Board of Directors:

Kirsti W. Goodwin is managing director at Tower 3 Investments LLC, a family office in Richmond, Virginia. Prior to Tower 3, she was the director of investor relations at Spider Management Company, a firm that provides investment management services for foundations and endowments. Kirsti currently serves on the board of trustees for The Darden School at The University of Virginia. She is a board member for several private equity companies as well as a member of the board of trustees for several non-profit organizations including The Virginia Home and the Jenkins Foundation.

Jeff Heilbrun moved to Jackson Hole in 1987. His thirty-four-year career in Jackson has been spent in the hospitality industry managing Teton Pines and Snake River Sporting Club, with additional club, resort, and consulting work outside of the valley. Jeff has extensive experience with nonprofit organizations, spending time on multiple boards including the Jackson Hole Community Foundation, Jackson Hole Land Trust, Teton Literacy Center, Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce, Wyoming Workforce Development Council, Wyoming Lodging and Restaurant Association, and Curran Seeley Foundation.

Susie Temple was inspired by the wilderness and its wonders to move from Texas to Wyoming in 1998. Growing up, she spent summers on horseback in the valley, experiences that lodged the park as a lodestar in her life. As a local business owner—helming Jackson Hole Book Trader and Wilson Book Gallery—she now feels compelled by the local confluence of community and place, epitomized so eloquently in the advocacy of Grand Teton National Park Foundation.

Joining the Resource Council:

Robin Fields grew up in Los Altos, California, and spent many family vacations in the state and national parks of the west coast. She has deep roots in Wyoming, as her grandfather was a homesteader and mine owner in Wyoming and Montana. She and her husband John retired full-time to the area in 2015. Robin has extensive experience on nonprofit boards and has found a passion for GTNP, appreciating the wildlife, hiking, skiing, and natural beauty of the park.

Louise Parzick has been a member of the Jackson community since the mid-nineties when she and her husband Joe were searching for the ideal way to teach their four children about life in the great outdoors. After several years as a banker, she joined an executive search firm where she helped establish the organization as a major player in the global arena before going public. More recently, Louise has participated in a number of entrepreneurial business activities where she has taken a leadership role.

Ethan Steinberg grew up in Chicago. Ethan moved to Jackson, Wyoming in 1996 and spent sixteen years working at Friess Associates, helping manage the Brandywine Funds. Ethan now runs his own investment fund partnering with SG Capital. Ethan was a founding board member of the Jackson Hole Community School, and his four children are all in school in Teton County. When not working, Ethan is driving his kids around the state of Wyoming for soccer, hockey, and ski racing events.

Wayne J.D. Teetsel first started vacationing in Jackson Hole in 2004. He moved here seasonally in 2016, and full time in 2018 after retiring from Stonehill Capital Management, LLC, a hedge fund that focuses on investments in distressed debt and special situations. He currently serves on the board of advisors of Tulane University’s School of Science and Engineering. In addition to being an avid skier, Wayne enjoys hiking, mountain biking, and rafting on the Snake River.

Jeff Willemain completed his term as chairman of the board of directors and will remain on the board—Deborah Barker now assumes the position of board chair. Other officers include Gregg Ward, vice chair; Lisa Wan, secretary; and Andy Schilling, treasurer.
