JACKSON, Wyo. — Lucky’s Market in Jackson will be one of 32 stores in the chain to close next month.

Despite assurances to the contrary made to Buckrail over the past few weeks, a store employee confirmed today that the store will close February 12. A spokeswoman for the store just recently told Buckrail the store was not only staying open, but growing its product line to include more “conventional” products. Still, shoppers had begun to notice a downsizing, or at least restructuring, of the store.

Employees only heard the news of the closure this morning.

Across the country, 32 of the Colorado chain’s 39 stores are set to close.

Lucky’s Market is going out “with a bang,” the store employee said. The store will offer 25% off starting tomorrow and 50% of certain goods next week. Employees hope the community takes advantage of the sales if only for the chance to say goodbye.
