A message from Wyoming State Rep. Liz Storer:
JACKSON, Wyo. — We need smart, strong local leaders who understand our landscape, stand up for our community, and create policies that hold everyone accountable. Len Carlman is just that leader.
But in order to get Len elected, we need you to vote in the August 20 primary as only two out of three candidates will advance to the General election.  Early voting is open now, with the polls open from 7 a.m- 7 p.m on August 20. Poll locations can be found here on primary Election Day.
With over four decades of community activism, Len has seen how the pressure for more growth makes it harder for our hardworking families to thrive, overstresses our transportation systems, and compromises Jackson Hole’s greatest asset – the environment. Always working as a team with great people, he’s been a force for good in many ways:
- Conceived and implemented the Successful Communities workshop many years ago that put the county and town on the path to developing innovative new planning tools
- Stopped clear cutting and oil and gas leases proposed in the Bridger-Teton National Forest
- Redirected the focus of the Forest Plan to preserve wildlife habitat and recreational use
- Worked to deliver the Snake River Headwaters Wild and Scenic Act to protect 388 miles of the Snake River watershed
- Helped save and restore the Old Wilson Schoolhouse and convert to it to a vibrant community center
- Supported Buffalo Valley residents in convincing the county commissioners to vote against large outdoor gatherings in ecologically sensitive areas teeming with wildlife
- Most recently, spearheaded an effort to purchase and renovate the iconic Hungry Jacks General Store in downtown Wilson
In his role as a private attorney, Len has represented dozens of clients in Title 25 hearings where he has earned tremendous respect from social service advocates. His empathy, civility and thoughtfulness are the hallmarks of his work, finding solutions that serve both society and individuals.
I hope you’ll agree that Len will make an excellent county commissioner just when we need strong voices to stand up for our community. Please join me in supporting his campaign by making a donation, casting your vote in the August 20 primary and letting others know he is our best choice for county commissioner in 2024.
With gratitude,
Liz Storer
