Library announces 2018 slate of authors

JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Teton County Library announced a strong lineup of authors for the 2018, with more likely on the way. Library supporters can expect to see US Poet Laureate Tracy K. Smith in May and novelist Junot Diaz in August, but first up is noted children’s author and illustrator Todd Parr.

Parr will be visiting the library in February. He is the author and illustrator of more than 40 books for children, including the New York Times bestselling The I Love You Book, The Earth Book, and The Thankful Book.

His works are available in more than 15 languages throughout the world. He is the co-creator of the popular children’s television show ToddWorld as well as short films for Sesame Street. Todd has partnered with Target, SFMARIN Food Bank, Stouffer’s, People Magazine, and several companies and organizations to help people, animals, and promote literacy.

Parr’s books have won several awards and his TV show, ToddWorld, was nominated for three Daytime Emmy® Awards. Todd grew up in Rock Springs. He now makes his home in Berkeley, California with three adopted pit bulls.
