JACKSON, Wyo. — Still holding onto the holiday spirit?
Christmas tree drop-off at the Teton County Fairgrounds is available through Wednesday, Jan. 31. Trees will also be accepted at the Trash Transfer Station.
It is important to note that the Town of Jackson offers Christmas tree recycling to residents only. Trees should be completely undecorated when they are brought to either facility so they can be used in the composting process and diverted from the landfill.
Christmas trees can be taken to the Teton County Fairgrounds at any time of the day or evening, as long as they are cleared of all lights and adornments. Residents can now start to see the growing pine tree pile located next to the recycling bins.
Residents can drop trees at the Trash Transfer Station during their regular business hours from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays.
Tree recycling at the Trash Transfer Station and the Fairgrounds is free of cost to residents. After Wednesday, trees will be accepted at the Trash Transfer Station, with processing fees of $0.04 per pound with a $10 minimum.
