KHOL goes dark after equipment malfunction

UPDATE: 12/10/18 – 3:45pm KHOL 89.1 FM is BACK on the air!

JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Missing something this weekend? If you are a regular listener of KHOL, maybe so.

The community radio station was knocked off the air Friday afternoon around 4pm. The problem has been traced to a bad STL (Studio Transmitter Link) atop Snow King Mountain. Turns out, it is no easy fix and the faulty unit has been sent off to California for repairs.

That means terrestrial broadcast is not possible at this time but the station continues to offer it’s regular programming via livestream over the Internet. In fact, it’s a good reminder and a good time to download the KHOL app to your phone. Click on the Listen Live ‘boombox’ and you are back in business.

Buckrail will keep you posted on the timeline and exactly when you can enjoy KHOL back at 89.1 on the FM dial.
