JACKSON HOLE, WYO –  Construction crews have finished a temporary fix for the Gros Ventre Road and it is now open for regular two-lane travel.
Interim reconstruction of the Gros Ventre Road and river bank stabilization has been completed, and the road is open to two-way travel with a lowered speed limit. Earlier this year, significant snowmelt and runoff caused major erosion to the river bank and affected the road.
The next phase of work will include additional road alignment and streambank mitigations in 2019.
