JACKSON, Wyo. — Jackson artist Katy Ann Fox will show at Turner Fine Art this spring. It is the first time her work will be featured at the studio of Kathryn Mapes Turner. Her new exhibition titled, Some Assembly Required, will hang from March 9 through April 17.

Fox has steadily been making news and art in Jackson Hole since her arrival to the valley in 2012. The northern Idaho native moved to San Francisco to pursue a Masters in Fine Art at the Academy of Art University before relocating to Jackson Hole.
In the past eight years, Fox has included pottery, printmaking, watercolors, and textiles to her repertoire but still considers oil painting her truest passion.
“I wander through the West witnessing windblown mountains and sunlight to gather emotion and imagery for my landscape paintings,” Fox says. “Each of my paintings holds a story and lends itself to memories.”
Lately, Fox’s work can be seen on the Jackson Hole Still Works Great Grey Gin label, sold nationwide. Earlier this year she was one of the featured artists in the Jackson Hole Historical Society and Museum’s Mountains to Manuscripts: Women’s Writing in Wyoming 1900-1950, commemorating the 150th anniversary of women’s suffrage in Wyoming.
Fox also provided the cover artwork for the accompanying souvenir book for the Andrew Munz production of “I Can Ski Forever.”
A free public reception celebrating the artist and her work is scheduled for Friday, March 13, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Turner Fine Art gallery.
