JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Back by popular demand, local writer and director Andrew Munz is bringing his hit comedy “I Can Ski Forever” series back to the Jackson stage with a brand-new show.

This fourth installment of his satirical series, which began in 2014, will feature a freshies storyline diving back into the idiosyncrasies of daily life in Jackson Hole. Featuring old favorites like “the Cougars” and pro-snowboarder Jonah Mills (expertly played by Laff Staff veteran Josh Griffith), the show will also feature new cast members.

To offset the costs of the production, Munz has set up a Kickstarter which launches today. Munz said he hopes to raise $15,000 in 30 days in order to stage the production.

In Fall 2016, Munz’s Kickstarter for the third entry in the series raised $15,677 in the same time frame. The shows have sold more than 2,500 tickets collectively over the course of the three productions.

“The goal is to sell as many early tickets as possible through the Kickstarter campaign,” Munz said. “A lot of people missed out on tickets last time, so I’m hoping to do six performances so nobody gets left out.”

Backers who donate at the $20 level will receive a general admission seat to the show in May 2019. To incentivize early support, ticket prices will later increase to $25 once tickets go on sale. The production is planned for May 2019 at the Pink Garter Theatre.

As one of the rewards, Andrew Munz also plans to release an “I Can Ski Forever” book, which will compile the scripts of the past three shows. The cover artwork is painted by local artist Katy Ann Fox.

“The book is a way for fans to flip back to their favorite scenes from the previous shows, and introduce newcomers to the valley to what it’s like to live here. There’s a ton of inside jokes, so I’ve also included some mini-essays to give context to tourists and 90-day wonders alike,” Munz said.

Ultimately, all of this is dependent on the success of raising $15,000 in 30 days. If Munz does not reach his goal, neither the show nor the book will go forward. But Munz is confident that he and his team of actors will be gracing the stage again soon.

“People ask me about doing another show all the time, so I think we’ll be able to rally some support,” he said.
