DRIGGS, Idaho — Teton County Idaho Search and Rescue (TCISAR) is hosting an end-of-summer cookout to say thank you to the community for its continued support.
The cookout is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 6 p.m. Stop by the TCISAR headquarters at 70 West Buxton Ave. in Driggs for a free burger, brat or vegetarian-friendly option. The event is free and open to the public. “We’ll also celebrate all we’ve achieved as a community with cake,” TCISAR wrote on Facebook.
“Every year, this community shows up for us — supporting our volunteers, our mission and the work that allows us to answer the call when you need us,” TCISAR said. “Now it’s our team’s turn to show up and say thank you.”
The cookout will also mark the official dedication of the new Search and Rescue building. The agency will be dedicating the building to the late Ray Shriver, a team member and advisor whose work “significantly shaped the mission of TCISAR.”
Guests are encouraged to RSVP to the Facebook event so the team can get a headcount for food.
