JACKSON, Wyo. — JH Nordic Alliance will host the Fifth Annual Free Ski, Fat Bike and Snowshoe Day at Turpin Meadow Ranch this Sunday, Jan. 8. The event returns this year after a two winter hiatus due to COVID-19.

The free event is open to all ages and abilities and will run from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Free trail passes and free demos of cross-country skis, skate ski gear, fat bikes and snowshoes will be available. For those looking to learn or improve their skills, free nordic ski lessons for classic and skate skiing will be available. There will also be winter nature talks, snowshoe tours and backcountry nordic ski tours.

A kids corral for children two to five years old will also be onsite, offering first-time skiing and sledding.

There will be coffee, snacks, lunch and beverages available. Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash in the Ranch area.

The event will be capped at 500 attendees. Those interested are encouraged to pre-register and sign the waiver in advance.

Carpooling is encouraged and a two-van shuttle service provided by Teton Science Schools will leave the home ranch at 9 a.m. email info@jhnordic.com and reserve a spot.
