JACKSON, Wyo. — Members of the Jackson Hole Fire/EMS recruit class of 2023 celebrated
their promotion to full membership during a swearing-in ceremony at the Station 1 Firehouse on Thursday, July 12.

During the ceremony, all eight members of the class pledged to serve and protect the public, and were pinned with their fire department badges.

According to JH Fire/EMS, the recruits completed a year of probation during which they worked 12 and 24-hour shifts to become competent members of an ambulance crew. Recruits also took classes to gain certifications, including Emergency Medical Technician and Wildland Firefighter. As they continue their careers with Jackson Hole Fire/EMS, they will train in other areas of all-hazard response, including structural firefighting, hazardous materials mitigation, vehicle extrication, ropes rescue and more.

The Jackson Hole Fire/EMS recruit class includes: Coy Abel, Katie Bernasek, Charlie
Crotteau, Patrick Davis, Jared GeBauer, Jill Learned, Will Luskey and Sarah Schuhler.

“Jackson Hole Fire/EMS would like to congratulate the new members and thank them for the many hours they have given to the department and to the community,” JH Fire/EMS said in the announcement. “Their service, along with the service of all our career and volunteer members, is critical to the fulfillment of our mission.”
