JACKSON, Wyo. — On Monday, Sept. 16, the Jackson Town Council celebrated the milestone of fully staffing the Jackson Police Department with the addition of two new officers, who will join the force on Oct. 14.
“We have not been fully staffed with Police Officers for at least 10 years or longer,” the Town said via staff report.
According to the Town of Jackson, the two new Police Officers, one an entry level Officer and one an experienced Officer, have completed all elements of their background investigation and have accepted final offers of employment. Both Officers secured housing, one utilizing a primary leased unit from the Town of Jackson and one utilizing a unit rented in the community.
Other positions in the organization remain unfilled and under various stages of recruitment. Reach out to staff with further questions regarding the status of vacant positions.
